Today at First Steps Early Learning Centre, the children are exploring the 7 Sacred Teachings! Timeless values that encourage kindness, empathy, and strong relationships.

 Eagle – Love

 Bison – Respect

 Bear – Courage

 Sabe – Honesty

 Wolf – Humility

 Beaver – Wisdom

 Turtle – Truth

These teachings align beautifully with the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework, which emphasizes relationships, identity, and holistic well-being. Through stories, conversations, and hands-on learning, children are discovering what these values look like in their everyday lives at school, at home, and in their community.

By learning about the 7 Sacred Teachings, we are helping to nurture compassionate, confident, and respectful learners while honouring Indigenous knowledge and tradition.
